McKenney Hall – Ki-On-Twog-Ky or Corn Plant, A Seneca Chief, $1200.

These McKenney prints are hand colored lithographs made from 1837-1844 and are sized 14″ x 19.5″. The Native American prints produced by the head of Indian Affairs, Thomas McKenney, based on the oil paintings by Charles King, James Otto Lewis , and George Cooke, with all the text by James Hall, using information supplied by McKenny. In 1865, most of the original paintings were destroyed in a fire at the Smithsonian, thus the prints are the only record left of their culture at that time.
