The antique sheet music shown here was published from 1900-1925.  The covers have great vintage graphics.  They are chromolithographs and photolithographs measuring from 9.5″ x 12″ to 10.5″ x 13.5″.  Good to very good condition.  Wonderful intense colors. Priced at $45 each. Many of  the Hawaiian Sheet Music were printed by an antique printing method called chromolithography, whereas each and every color was applied with a key stoned limestone plate.  If you see 10 colors, there were 10 limestone slabs used to print the colors.  From about 1870-1920, most decorative sheet music were printed by the means of chromolithography.  Chromo meaning color, lithography which means applied from limestone.  It is an obsolete printing method,  because photo mechanical printing was faster and more profitable to use.  So circa 1920 Photolithography, an offset photographic printing process replaced Chromolithography.  Not only are the covers of  Vintage Hawaiian Music are beautiful to look at, they suitable for framing!  The antique images of Hawaii are historic and important to all indigenous Hawaiians!
