Our historic material on America’s National Parks all published 100 years ago or more. Bookplates, souvenir pamphlets, maps and even old music are important recordings of parks in the NPS. Some were collected by park visitors, just as they are today. These old pieces of ephemera will take you back in time. The old maps will lead you through our National Parks on old routes & trails. The National Park system was established to protect some of our most dramatic landscapes for everyone to enjoy today and the future. Yellowstone National Park was established America’s first national park in 1872.
