These English hand colored engravings on rag paper date to the early 1800’s. The engravings of fruits vegetables herbs and spices were issued by 19th century botanical magazine subscriptions. They are the work of Englishmen Curtis and Edwards. Each piece has good color and measures about 5×9.” They can be framed small 9×12″ or framed large in big mats at 12×16.” Anne likes to frame them to 11×14.”

Some of the US Department of Agriculture chromolithographs include apples, oranges, mangos, corn & mushrooms. The US Government spent over 1 million dollars a year to produce the USDA reports that these chromolithographs came from. The decorative illustrations make for great kitchen décor.
