We are happy to help you with an order, answer questions & discuss your ideas for decorating with our antique prints. We like having fun while helping our customers. And we never share your information! But sorry, we do not tolerate any photography in our shop.
Are you interested in ordering our: antique lithographs hand-colored engravings? Contact us, with the information for which you would like to purchase, and we will send an invoice you call pay securely online. If you have questions, please contact us by phone or email.
Would you like me to do a valuation of your prints?
Are you interested in having us value your prints? Valuations over the telephone are difficult to do. Over emails is, at times, equally hard. They are especially difficult to do with framed items. Often a local librarian or auction house, can help you authenticate what you have, and it would be more convenient, than shipping long distance. Most of the time, that help is free.
While it is nice to help for free, I normally charge a valuation fee starting at $125. You pay shipping both ways. I will invoice you, and you can pay it securely online. Sorry, unless it adds to our inventory, and right down our alley in subject matter, we generally do not buy what we are contacted about. We are completely focused on our own collections of nature-related engravings & lithographs over 100 years old.
The values given on our website for the antique prints, you see on this website, is for good to excellent condition. Values are based on many criteria, including condition. It is easy to find old prints in poor condition, and hard to find ones in great original shape. Generally, poor condition equals into a much lower value. Also, if your print’s dimensions vary much from ours, but from the same series of prints, you may have a reproduction. Reproductions have little value, except as decoration. Many reproductions have intrinsic value, as something special to you, such as an heirloom grandma once had.
Sorry, we do not offer any valuations on limited editions, signed or numbered prints. Most of them date from the mid to late 1900’s. Those are not antiques and are over 100 years old, and therefore out of our expertise.
When you shop with us, we will not share your personal data. We only use information for ourselves, those of you who place orders or buy from us in person. It is generally for the purpose of getting you your order.
As for custom framing, we do not return pieces that have been discussed and custom framed and agreed upon, unless it was faulty on our part in some way.
Most of our customers love us. We handle each customer individually, hoping to make each and every one feeling good about their purchases.
